Benefit

Many throughout the Sugar Grove, Russell, and Eisenhower Community know Mrs. Barb Hawley as one of the sweetest teachers in EHS history. She has battled cancer several times and sadly the battle still continues. Mrs. Hawley has undergone extensive surgeries and is recovering at home for the next few months. These treatments and surgeries are costly and ongoing. Those in the community are holding a benefit at the Warren Moose Lodge to raise money to help defer the costs. The event will be April 10 from 7 p.m. 9 p.m. The cost will be $10 at the door and you will receive 2 free drink tickets and a door prize ticket. Some door prizes include: gift certificates from Tall Tales Sporting Goods, Kwik Fill, Terlins Reflections and more. There will be a band to follow the benefit so feel free to stay and enjoy "Abbey Road" a Beatles cover band. Please come out and show your support. If you are unable to attend and wish to donate you can mail a donation to: Kristi Lindell 1414 Route 957 Russell Pa, 16345.

Ice cream social

The Sugar Grove Elementary School CPT (Concerned Parent/Teacher Organization) will be holding the Annual Ice Cream Social and Choice Auction this year on April 22.

A choice auction is an event where donated items are won through a ticket raffle. You receive a list of numbered items prior to the auction. You may purchase a chance on as many items as you choose and as often as you choose. At this time, many of the Community businesses and Sugar Grove families are donating some great items needed to make the event a success. Are you a great cook, love to make crafts, or good at woodworking? Then we need you. Many items have been donated in that past and some examples include bread, pies, candies, craft items, gift certificates, certificates for service, gas cards, concert tickets, and even cash. The ideas are endless. The school can use all items for adults and children.

Faculty and Parents of the Choice Auction Committee are working with local business to acquire the many donations necessary for the auction to be a success. The more donations we receive the more tickets that will be sold. Please contact the school for a donation form if you can help out by donating items.

The proceeds for the evening's events benefit the Sugar Grove Elementary School CPT which provide in many ways for our students.
