Lenten luncheon
Wednesday, March 17 the Lenten lunch will be held at St. John Center with 11:30 a.m. devotionals and lunch at noon.
Open to the public, all denominations and free of charge.

Ten Pound Walleye
Eleven year old Conner Coughlin caught this 10-pound, 29-inch long walleye in the Allegheny River last week while fishing with friends Max and Larry Anderson.
Chocolate basket
Members of the Tidioute Senior Center are currently selling tickets on a Chocolate Easter Basket.
The basket is made of Sarrin's Chocolate and is filled with all sorts of Sarrin's chocolates candies.
Tickets are $1 each or 3 for $2 and will be drawn in time for Easter. Winner need not be present to win.
Ten-pound Walleye
Connor Coughlin age 11 was fishing the Allegheny River with friends Max and Larry Anderson when he caught a ten pound, 29 inch long Walleye.
This was Coughlin's first big Walleye.
Military
packages
Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 8803 members are sending package of goodies to our Military Personnel who are stationed outside the United States.
If you have family members serving outside the United States please contact Doris Svitek at 484-7218 or send the address to her at P. O. Box 105, Tidioute, PA 16351 and a package will be sent to that service personnel.
Helpers needed
The Pennsylvania State Championship Fishing Tournament committee is seeking new and younger persons to help with the Fishing Tournament events throughout the year and of course help is always needed on the weekend of the Tournament which will be Sept. 23, 24, 25, and the 26th.
Sometimes help is only needed for an hour, sometimes two; it is what ever time you can spare or work into your schedule.
A Ham and Turkey Party is set for Sunday, May 30, and helpers are needed for this event.
Also, Ann Jones will be collecting door prizes for the Ham and Turkey Party, and if you want to donate anything you can contact her at 484-7139 and she will be happy to pick it up.
Yearbook sales
Yearbook Sales for Tidioute Community Charter School has been extended to March 24.
Cost is $25 each and you can have them personalized for an additional $5.50 and add up to four icons for $3.

Ambulance members
Tidioute Area Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Service has mailed out the Ambulance memberships this past week.
Memberships are $30 for a family (anyone residing at your permanent residents and must be listed), $25 for senior citizens as defined by Social Security/Medicare and $45 for Seasonal residents-covers anyone visiting or staying at your camp, cottage or residence.
Checks should be made payable to Tidioute Ambulance Service and mailed to P. O. Box 122 Tidioute, PA 16351
Memberships will be good till Oct. 31.
If you did not receive yours and you want to have a membership, please make check payable to Tidioute Ambulance Service and list the head of household with birthday as well as other household members and birthdays. Health Fair
A Health Fair will be held on Saturday, March 27, at the Tidioute Firehall and is being sponsored by Warren General Hospital in cooperation with Tidioute Fire Department.
This comprehensive blood test is $40 per person and appointments are recommended and can be made through Marty Bennett at 484-7372 and this is a 12 hour fasting.
Men can have the PSA blood test to detect Prostate Cancer for an additional charge $15
Some tests include: Cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol, LDL Cholesterol,Triglycerides, Blood Urea Nitrogen, Creatinine, BUN/Creatinine Ratio, Glucose (Blood Sugar), TSH-Thyroid Function, Red Blood indices, Serum, Iron, Hemoglobin, Hematocrit, Red Blood Cell Count, albumin, Albumin/Globin ration, Total Bilirubin, total protein, alkaline phosphate, calcium, chloride, potassium, sodium, uric acid, white blood cell count.
Several free testing will be available including: bone density screening, fall and balance assessments, hearing, blood pressure, height, weight, Doppler screening, eye screenings BMI, Reiki demo.
There will be informational and interactive displays on various aspects of your health.
A light breakfast will be available following the blood work.
