Jamestown Business College has announced the president's list for the winter 2009 term. To qualify, a student must earn a 3.90 - 4.00 grade point average for a term. Laura G. Price, daughter of Keith and Cindy Price of Warren, has been named to the dean's list at Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Mich. To be named to the list, a student must earn a grade average of 3.5 or better. A senior at Calvin, Price is an engineering major with a civil concentration. She graduated from Warren Area High School. Price is applying to graduate schools to earn a master's degree in environmental engineering.

Laura R. Patterson, daughter of Todd and Dr. Kathleen Patterson, Tidioute, has earned honors as a junior at Phillips Exeter Academy, Exeter, N.H., for the fall 2009 term.

Hana Bakalli has been named a University Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh, indicating she is in the top two percent in cumulative undergraduate academic standing. She was recognized at the annual honors convocation and received a citation on Feb. 26. Bakalli is working toward a bachelor of science degree with majors in neuroscience and psychology and a minor in chemistry and expects to graduate in December 2010 from the School of Arts & Sciences. She has been named to the dean's list for several semesters and maintains a grade average of 3.99.
