All District 10 sporting events are postponed on Friday due to weather. That includes the District 10 Class AAA Wrestling Tournament at McDowell Intermediate School and the Class AA wrestling tournament at Sharon High School, Class AAA diving at Penn State Behrend, as well as all District 10 playoff basketball games.
All of Friday's D10 playoff basketball games will now be played on Sunday, so that does not impact the Class AAA Warren girls basketball game against Sharon at 6 p.m. Saturday at Kennedy Catholic High School --- or any other county basketball game. The Eisenhower boys and girls semifinal playoff games are next week with no specific information released as of yet.
Warren's Class AAA divers will now compete Saturday, after the Class AA diving meet, at Penn State Behrend's Junker Center.
The District 10 Class AAA Wrestling Tournament will be held mostly on Saturday. Wrestling starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at McDowell Intermediate School, the semifinals, consolation quarterfinals will be held around 1 p.m., consolation semifinals at 3:30 p.m., third-through-sixth-place matches at 5:30 p.m. and the finals set for 7:30 p.m. Now, here's where it gets sticky; all matches involving wrestlers with a scheduled sixth match on Saturday will be wrestled there at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. This will impact five to 10 wrestlers due to the fact that the students can not wrestle more than five matches in a 24-hour period. The schedule, unfortunately, is subject to change after the start of the tournament.
The D10 Class AA tournament at Sharon High School will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday with the first-round matches that would have been held Friday. Round two, normally starting Saturday morning, will begin at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Wrestling resumes in Sharon at 2 p.m. Sunday with the finals scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
