Ray and Kathy Langworthy of Sheffield are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Langworthy, to Michael Young, son of Jeffrey and Sharon Young of Sheffield. Both are graduates of Sheffield Area High School, Michael in 2002 and Megan in 2005.
Megan's accomplishments include her graduation from Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy. She became a CNA and recently completed a course to become a correctional officer. She is employed at the Warren County Jail.
Michael served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps where he worked as a motor transport operator. Michael served in Okinowa, Japan, and in the Middle East, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. He received a Combat Action Medal during he deployment to Iraq, Making him a combat veteran. After an honorable discharge, Michael became a Class A CDL professional truck driver and traveled coast to coast for USA Truck, Inc. He is currently employed at the Waste Treatment Corporation of Warren.
