Shawn A. and Tammie L. Silvis of Tidioute have announced the engagement of their son, Brandon Joseph Silvis, to Raina Querida Garcia, daughter of Clifford R. and Laura G. Garcia of Novato, Calif.
Brandon is a 2002 graduate of Tidioute High School. He is an active duty service member with the U.S. Navy, currently stationed in Hawaii. His fiance is a graduate of Marin Catholic High School and Old Dominion University. She is employed by the Hawaii State Department of Education.
An Oct. 9, 2010, wedding is planned in Richmond, Va.
