Sam Smith, 59, of 225 Swede Road, Tidioute, PA, died early Sunday morning, January 31, 2010 at his cottage. He was born in Munhall, PA, October 7, 1950, a son of Marilyn Redshaw Smith and the late Samuel Welshman Smith. For the past twenty years, he had worked as a carpenter and all around handy man at OZ Gas in Tidioute.

In addition to his Mother who lives in Mentor, OH, he is survived by two sisters, Marilyn Sue Smith, and Katryn Jayne Duly, both of Mentor, OH, three brothers, William Joseph Smith, Scott Earl Smith, both of Mentor, OH and Thomas Reed Smith of Chardon, OH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Wednesday afternoon, February 3, 2010 from Noon until 1:00 P.M. at the James M. Higgins Funeral Home, 3 Elm Street, Tidioute, PA.

Friends are also invited to A Celebration of Life Gathering to be held at the Tippy Canoe Inn, Route 62, Tidioute, from 2 until 4 PM Wednesday.
