Meredith Meyer and Jedediah Smith were united in marriage on May 29, 2009. The wedding took place at Smith Chapel at Penn State Erie: The Behrend College. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Randy Evans. A reception followed at Peek 'n' Peak Resort.
The maid of honor was Amanda Wiest, friend of the bride. Bridesmaid was Jennifer Call, groom's sister. Best man was Michael Moon, friend of the groom. Groomsman was Logan Meyer, bride's brother.
The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Kimberly Meyer of Warren. Meredith is the granddaughter of Joyce Meyer and the late Harold Meyer and Kathleen and Kenneth Zigler, all of Warren. She received a bachelor's degree from Penn State Behrend. She is pursuing a master's degree in education from Mercyhurst College and will graduate in May.

The groom is the son of Romona Carlson of Tionesta and Paul Smith of Endeavor. He is the stepson of Doug Carlson and Cindy Smith and the grandson of Ed and Virginia Patrick and Helen Smith and the late William Smith of Erie. Jed received his bachelor's degree from Penn State Behrend in electrical engineering and his master's in business administration. He is employed as a supervising engineer for Penelec in Erie.
The couple honeymooned in the Dominican Republic. They reside in Erie.
