Dale and Becky Harkins of Chandlers Valley would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Harkins of Chambersburg, Pa., to Theodore Lord Jr. of Chambersburg. He is the son of Beverly James of Jamestown, N.Y., and the late Theodore Lord Sr.
The bride-to-be attended Eisenhower High School in 1999, and the groom-to-be graduated from Jamestown High School in 1985 and is currently employed as a Department of Defense Civilian. He also is a staff sergeant in Gettysburg Army Reserve as a military police officer.
The couple is planning a May 2010 wedding.
