When post-pregnancy weight stuck to Michele McMichael, she felt stuck in general.

That was two years ago. At that time, if someone would have told her that she would not only lose the weight but also appear in a workout video and on a home shopping network, McMichael would have never believed it.

She's believing it now.

After reaching the weight of 225 pounds, the North Warren stay-at-home mom tried Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home workout videos and was instantly hooked. Adding the workout to a new habit of counting calories yielded results.

"After a year, I lost about 100 pounds," she said.

Wanting to pass along her success, McMichael sent a testimonial with before and after photos to Sansone, which led to an exciting opportunity.

"In October, I was asked to be in her new video," McMichael said. "All the people in the video had lost 100 pounds."

With Sansone's headquarters being nearby in New Castle, Pa., McMichael agreed and appeared in the video.

Her appearance and testimonial has led to yet another opportunity. As Sansone was scheduled to launch her new video on the home shopping channel QVC, McMichael was invited to travel to Philadelphia on Jan. 29 and appear with the Walk at Home creator.

"I will be on five different times with her," McMichael said. "I hope somebody sees me and is inspired to get her videos."

When asked if she was nervous about her television debut, she said, "I'm really not a person nervous. I think I am more excited than nervous."

McMichael's success has led her down a path to help others.

"I can be certified by Leslie to teach her walks," she said.

McMichael is looking at spaces to teach the workouts that transformed her life.

She added, "I think I found my passion."

Michele is an inspiration to everyone she meets. She's got a great attitude and is just a fun person to be around. I hope she sees much success in being a certified trainer for Leslie Sansone and helps many people in the Warren community realize their own weight-loss goals!
