Drug possession. Conewango Township police assisted Warren County Adult Probation personnel in arresting Elizabeth Ann Sutliff at her residence at 3170 Yankee Bush Rd. at 5:32 p.m. Jan. 21. According to police, Sutliff was arrested on a probation violation. Police said that during a search of the residence they found two bags of a small amount of marijuana and several items of drug paraphernalia. Police reported Sutliff is being charged with two counts of misdemeanor drug possession and 11 counts of misdemeanor use of drug paraphernalia. According to police, Sutliff was committed to the Warren County Jail. Police said the charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer.

Theft from a motor vehicle. Warren-based state police reported someone entered an unsecured vehicle belonging to Ryan L. Markey, 26, Warren, on Rt. 59 at the Wolf Run Marina Access between 7:30 and 10 a.m. Jan. 8. According to police, the intruder took an LG Envy touch screen cell phone valued at $500, an iPod shuffle valued at $50 and a bottle of prescription medication valued at $30. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crimestoppers.

Tidioute

Structure fire. A wood stove is to blame for a fire that damaged a home in Tidioute early Friday evening.

According to Tidioute Volunteer Fire Department Chief Mark Veasey, firefighters arrived at 3888 Morrison Hill Rd. around 5:10 p.m. and remained at the scene for approximately two hours.

Veasey said the fire began in the chimney of the structure and traveled to the roof.

When fire crews arrived, the homeowner had the majority of the fire put out, Veasey said.

The living room suffered "a lot" of smoke damage, according to Veasey, with the rest of the structure suffering minor smoke damage. In addition, Veasey said the fired burned a three-foot hole in the roof where the chimney was located.

Grand Valley and Garland volunteer fire departments assisted at the scene, while Starbrick Volunteer Fire Department was on standby.
