Miss Emily Elaine Ekstrom and Mr. Bryan Russell Lyszaz were united in marriage on Friday, June 19, 2009, at seven o'clock in the evening at Paraisso Maravilla in Houston, Texas. The Rev. Glenn Collins officiated. A night of dinner and dancing immediately followed.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Ekstrom of Houston, Texas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lyszaz of Pittsfield.
Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by maid of honor Katie Ekstrom, her sister, and by matron of honor Melissa Coyle, her sister. She also was attended by her friends, Erin Moore, Jill Murphy, Elizabeth Austin, Nicole Swift, Diana Sartori and Sarah Smith.

The groom was attended by best man Chris Lyszaz, his brother; Joseph Lyszaz, groom's nephew; James Lyszaz, groom's brother; Michael Lyszaz, groom's brother; and friends of the groom, Doug Collins, Kyle O'Leary and Emery Petrof. The groom's niece, Olivia Lyszaz, served as flower girl, and the groom's cousin, Kaid Skinner, served as ringbearer. Patricia Lyszaz, groom's sister-in-law, and Ashley Kerr, friend of the bride, provided readings during the ceremony.
The bride attended Stratford High School in Houston. She received a bachelor of architectural and environmental design from Texas A&M University. The groom is a graduate of Youngsville High School. He received his associate's degree in business from Jamestown Business College. Bryan owns his own sign company, Big Time Signs, which he started in 2006.
Following a honeymoon in Aruba, Emily and Bryan have been residing happily in Houston.
