Kid's Stuff Saturday
North Warren Presbyterian Church will present Kid's Stuff B.i.G. (Believe in God) Club for ages 3 and older on Saturday, Jan. 16, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Scholarships offered
The Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania and National Garden Clubs, Inc., will offer numerous scholarships in 2010 in the fields of horticulture, floriculture, landscape design, conservation, forestry, biology, botany, agronomy, plant pathology, environmental concerns and control, city (rural and urban) planning, land management and/or allied subjects. Applications for these scholarships are available at all local high schools and libraries. The deadline for state scholarships is Feb. 15; the deadline for national scholarships is March 1.
What's for dinner?!
Join participants at First Presbyterian Church, 300 Market St., Warren, for a fun cooking class to answer the question, "What's for Dinner!?" This month, Peter Hoffman will offer his family's "Savory German Meatballs with Apple Rice" from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, in the church fellowship hall. A free door prize will be given away at the end of class. A donation of $2 is required to offset the cost of supplies. Call the church office at 723-9200 for more information.
Spaghetti served
The National Honor Society at Tidioute Community Charter School will hold their second annual spaghetti dinner on Sunday, Jan. 17, from 2 to 6 p.m. Cost will be $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and younger. The menu will include salad, bread, beverage and dessert. Discounted tickets are available at the school today.
Clothing give-away
A Hannah House Outreach will be held in the gym at Faith Fellowship, 208 Market St., Warren (use the side door) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16. Free clothing and free lunch will be included. All are welcome. For more information, call (814) 254-3816.
