From The Editor

January 5, 2010
Times Observer
January is the month for new beginnings so we thought we would jump on the bandwagon! You probably noticed a big change on our cover this month. We are delighted to be in partnership with Rob Sigler of Click Photo Studios, as he will be shooting all of our cover photos throughout 2010. Coupled with our fresh face you will find new contributing writers and a few changes in our format as well. We are excited to be heading in some new directions with PG while we continue to focus on offering valuable information with a local flare to parents in our area.

As I mentioned, the cover is a big change for us and we are thrilled to have Mr. Sigler helping us achieve a new, polished look. His expertise and ability to create beautiful photography out of some very cute subject matter (your kids!) is a wonderful and welcome addition to PG. During the last quarter you may have seen our advertisement for our First Annual Cover Model Contest. Hundreds of our readers submitted photos of their children. After much deliberation, a selection team chose twelve winners from Chautauqua and Warren counties. Let me just say, this was not an easy task for that group of people! Thank you for sending in your pictures. You have a lot of really adorable children! Watch for them every month this year. Our new writing staff has some serious credentials backing them. You will be happy to know that we have teachers, health care professionals, a financial advisor, children’s pastor, family therapists and a pediatrician all contributing articles on a regular basis. That is just naming a few of them. We consider ourselves privileged to be working with these individuals to bring you some truly insightful and relative information.

I have said it before; parenting is a difficult job and I am thankful for people like this that are willing to offer their professional insights to help me do my job as a mom a little better. We hope that you feel the same and are able to use PG as the resource we desire it to be. As always, please feel free to email your questions or comments to me at kjohnson@premieremg.com. Have a wonderful new year and enjoy our “new” PG Magazine!
