HARRY LLOYD
Harry W. Lloyd, 84, of 204 Hall St., Sheffield, passed away at his residence on Saturday, December 26th after an extended illness.
Harry was born in Kimport, Pa. on December 14, 1925 to the late Clair and Audrey Smyers Lloyd. He was a 1943 graduate of Sheffield High School and was in the U.S. Navy for 30 years. In addition to his military service, Harry worked at Merle's Keystone, Lantern House, Borden Funeral Home, Warren Components, Sheffield Container and McMillen Lumber. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid bowler for many years, serving as secretary for many leagues.
Harry is survived by 2 children: Edward W. Lloyd and wife Linda, Sheffield and Nancy A. Fox and husband Jack, Pleasantville; 1 brother: John Lloyd, San Bernadino, CA; 6 grandchildren: Sarah Lloyd Campbell, Wayne Lloyd and wife Meighan, Michael Campbell, Luke Fox, Stephanie Baird and husband Rob, Eric Taylor and wife Kelly; 9 great grandchildren: Robert and Tristen Campbell, Ross and Samantha Baird, Kayla and Julia Taylor, Magnus and Mauve Lloyd, and Alyssa Luce; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Aline "Becky" Lloyd, whom he married on June 25, 1949; his parents; 1 sister: Loretta Stillman; and 3 brothers: Clair, Frank and Hugh Allen Lloyd.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 30th at 1:30 p.m. at the BordenLloyd Funeral Home with Rev. Neil Siefert, Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Calling hours are from 24 and 79 on Tuesday, December 29th. Interment will be in Sheffield Cemetery.
