Warren
Burglary. Warren City police reported a criminal complaint was filed Dec. 23 charging Steven M. Gaddy, 28, 229 Pennsylvania Ave. W. Apt. 5, after he allegedly entered 210 East St. Apt. 6 sometime between Dec. 8 and Dec. 16 without permission and removed property from a male without his permission.
Hit-and-run. Warren City police reported a small truck with a passenger was traveling south on Market Street and turning right on Fourth Avenue when it struck Nichole L. Mattison, 14, 419 Rankin St. at the intersection of Market Street and Fourth Avenue at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 21. According to police, the driver violated accidents involving death or personal injury of the vehicle code.
Columbus Twp.
Hit-and-run. Corry-based state police reported Kelsey J. Crawford, 18, Spring Creek, was driving a 1997 Ford Ranger north on Sample Flats Road with a passenger, 16, at 5:46 p.m. Dec. 23. According to police, a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling south on Sample Flats Road when it crossed into the northbound lane. Police reported the Silverado's left side mirror struck the Ranger's left side mirror and mounted spotlight and then turned and fled west on Stewart Road. According to police, anyone with information leading to the identity of the Silverado and its owner is asked to contact Corry-based state police.
Conewango Twp.
Arrest by warrant. According to Conewango Township police, Jeremiah James Kays, 21, 118 North Irvine St., Warren, was taken into custody by Warren City police who observed Kays walking down the road Thursday at 11 p.m. Warren City police contacted Conewango Township police, who held two warrants for Kays. According to police, both warrants were served on Kays with the following charges stemming from an incident in November at the WalMart pharmacy, including acquisition by misrepresentation open felony, possession of controlled substance, drug device and cosmetic act open misdemeanor, forgery and identity theft. The incident involved prescription medication that was prescribed for someone else other than Kays, police said. The second warrant, police reported, was served stemming from a burglary that occurred at 625 South State St. in North Warren. Kays was charged with burglary, theft of a 2004 Honda Motorcycle, theft of a motorcycle helmet and theft of a pair of motorcycle gloves, police said. Kays was arraigned before District Justice Cindy Lindemuth and placed in Warren County Jail at $50,000 bail, police said.
