Carol Ann Stanko, 69, of 41 Sunflower Lane, Warren, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Warren General Hospital.

Mrs. Stanko was born June 30, 1940, in Warren, the daughter of the Virginia Golnick Arnold and the late Albert Arnold. Carol was employed at Chautauqua Hardware for twenty four years, retiring in 2002. She had also worked at Warren Components. She attended of the Salvation Army Church, loved dirt track racing, enjoyed bingo, gambling in Las Vegas and at the Seneca Casino, her family, and fishing.

She is survived by, her husband, Ronald Allen Stanko, whom she married on February 10, 1962; a daughter, Debra L. Beitsinger and her husband William, Warren; two sons, Ronald A. Stanko, Jr. and his wife Natasha, Warren, and Steven P. Stanko and his wife Robin, Russell; three sisters, Nancy DeRosia, and her husband Larry, Montrose, CO, Linda Thomas and her husband David, Jamestown, NY, and Joan Winans, Warren; twelve grandchildren, Mike, Jessica, Derek, Danielle, Ashley, Rebecca, Jacob, Ronald III, Levi, Lacey, Randall, and Sara; five greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Arnold in 1988, and her mother and father in law, Paul and Marie Stanko.

Friends will be received at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Saturday, December 26, 2009 from, 24 & 68 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, December 27, at 1:00 p.m., with Major Ronald Starnes, chaplain, Salvation Army Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Warren County Memorial Park.
