Brokenstraw Twp.

Drug possession. Warren-based state police were called to Depot Street, Irvine, at 8:10 p.m. Dec. 21 to assist an ambulance crew. According to police, Matthew Kuzminski, 19, Irvine, was found to be in possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned before District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth.

Conewango Twp.

Charged. Conewango Township police said they have charged Collin Fontanelle, 40, 150 Fraley St., Kane, with theft by unlawful taking. According to police, Fontanelle was employed by Wal-Mart and working at a cash register on Nov. 4 when he removed a $100 bill from the register and placed it in his pocket. Police said charges were filed at District Justice Laura Bauer's office.

Criminal mischief. The owner of a 2002 red Dodge Town and Country minivan reported to Conewango Township police that the rear window of the vehicle was broken while it was parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 19. Police said the vehicle was parked in row 10 with the rear window facing Rt. 62. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police.

Criminal mischief. The owner of a 2008 black Dodge Caliber reported to Conewango Township police that the driver's side of her vehicle was damaged while she was working in the Israel Building at Warren State Hospital between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Dec. 18. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police.

Accident. Conewango Township police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Jackson Run Road, near Creamery Road, at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 20. According to police, Stacie Stuart, 20, Warren, lost control of her vehicle, went off the right side of the road and hit a tree. Police said Stuart was cited for driving too fast for conditions. Assisting at the scene were North Warren volunteer firefighters and Fire Police.

Hit and run. Conewango Township police were called to the Wal-Mart parking lot at Warren Commons on Dec. 20 for a hit and run. According to police, a 2006 silver Toyota RAV 4 sustained damage to the driver's side while parked in row 7. Police said they are using Wal-Mart's video surveillance in an effort to identify the hit and run vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police.

Cited. Conewango Township police on Dec. 22 cited Kelly Matteson, 24, Sugar Grove, with one count of issuing bad checks. According to police, Matteson issued a $75.95 check to Warren Veterinary Hospital on Oct. 2 that was not honored by the bank. Police said Warren Veterinary Hospital sent a notice to Matteson and she failed to make good on the check.
