Joan Marion Anderson, 83, of 209 Market Street, Warren, PA, formerly of Sheffield, PA, died at 8:25 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2009, in Warren General Hospital.

Joan was born on January 30, 1926 in Manchester, England, a daughter to Harold and Elsie Watson. Joan was married on October 13, 1946 to Einer Anderson at the conclusion of World War II. Joan was preceded in death by her husband on June 15, 2001.

Joan retired from Warren State Hospital as an LPN. Joan attended the First United Methodist Church, Warren, was a member of AARP, the Warren Dessert Club, the Senior Fellowship, and Bible study.

Joan is survived by her four children: Diane (Jack) Peffer of Clarendon, PA, Judy (Jeff) Scalise of Sheffield, PA, Craig (Cindy) Anderson of Tiona, PA, and Brian (Sue) Anderson of Wooster, OH; eight grand children; and eight great grandchildren.

The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Borden Lloyd Funeral Home in Sheffield, Pennsylvania.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Warren County.
