Retail theft. Conewango Township police reported at 5:45 p.m. Dec. 13 they were dispatched to a retail theft at Walmart where they met with John E. Walsh, 3321 Brown Hill Rd., Youngsville. According to police, Walsh concealed six items valued at $697.48 with the intent to not pay for them and is being charged with one count of misdemeanor retail theft which has been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer.
Retail theft. Conewango Township police reported at 9:07 p.m. Dec. 13 they were dispatched to a retail theft at Walmart where they met with Michael John Hutley, 28, 215 Fulton St., Jamestown N.Y. According to police, Hutley concealed 9 Xbox 360 video games with the intent to not pay for them. Police reported they also found Hutley had several items of drug paraphernalia on him and also found that he was not permitted on Walmart property for a past retail theft. According to police, Hutley was taken into custody and charged with one count misdemeanor retail theft, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and defiant trespass. Police reported Hutley was later committed to Warren County Jail on $15,000 bail.
Theft. Warren-based state police reported Jamie D. Crick, 25 1/2 Railroad St., Youngsville received $1,250 at 12 p.m. Sept. 14 from Tracy E. Acklin, 2 Lawn Ave., Warren, which was to be used for a material link fence to be installed by Crick. According to police, Crick failed to perform the installation and failed to return the money, using it for other purposes. Police said Crick was charged with theft and further court action is pending.
Accident. Warren-based state police reported Raymond C. Utley, 75, Main Street, Clarendon, was traveling east on Rt. 6 in his 1998 Dodge pickup truck, when he crossed the center line into the westbound lane, striking a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by William E. Whipple Jr., 23, Nufer Lane, Warren, and a male passenger, 16, S. Main Street, Clarendon, in a near head-on collision at 5:35 p.m. Dec. 17. According to police, the Cavalier spun off the north side of the roadway stopping on the white fog line, suffering major damage. Police reported the truck continued traveling east, striking a tree along the north edge of the roadway and also suffered major damage. According to police, both drivers and the passenger wore seatbelts and were transported to Warren General Hospital for minor injuries. Police reported the Clarendon and Pleasant volunteer fire departments assisted at the scene.
Accident. Warren-based state police reported a 2007 Dodge Truck driven by Clint Moore, 34, Youngsville, was heading east while a 2006 Ford Truck driven by Robert Hamm, 53, Warren, was heading west on Rt. 27 at 7 p.m. Dec. 16. According to police, the mirrors of both vehicles hit, causing minor damage to both vehicles. Police reported no injuries were reported or observed and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
Sugar Grove Twp.
Fugitive from justice. Warren-based state police reported Brian D. Green, 34, Jamestown, N.Y., was arrested at 1:35 p.m. Dec. 16 after being located at 7 Forest Ave. Sugar Grove, following a two-day search initiated by the Jamestown City Police Department. According to the report, Warren-based state police, the Warren City Police Department, Jamestown City, Lakewood Busti Police and the U.S. Marshals were involved in the search and subsequent capture of Green. Police said Green was initially charged in New York State with felony armed robbery and felony burglary related to an early November 2009 incident, and failed to appear as needed, causing the search and subsequent capture and arrest in Pennsylvania. According to police, Green was arraigned before District Justice Art Zerbe and committed to the Warren County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail. Police reported after Green was committed to the Warren County Jail, an outstanding bench warrant was served upon him by the Warren County Sheriffs.
