Senior centers plan busy December week

Most centers will be closed Friday in observance of Christmas.

Lunches

Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve lunch at Conewango Towers, Warren Senior Center and Warren Senior Community Center from Dec. 14-18: Monday, hamburger gravy; Tuesday, sloppy joe; Wednesday, stuffed peppers; Thursday, brunch; Friday, closed. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Sugar Grove, Tidioute, Youngsville and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sights. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations. Menu is subject to change based on availability.

Need a ride to go shopping, to a doctor appointment or to run errands? The TAWC bus will pick you up, and for seniors the ride is fee. Call the center Monday and staff will put in your reservation.

Again this year, we will adopt a family within our area for Christmas. We also have donation boxes for shut-ins, Ruth Smith daycare and the head start children. Donations are greatly appreciated.

Senior night out this month will include a tour of the area to see the decorations.

Dec. 28: blood pressure checks, 10 a.m.-noon.

Cafe 905 is a great place to hold your parties, class reunion, or family gatherings. There is comfortable seating for a large group in the warm and inviting surroundings. A reasonable fee applies. Call Betty Jo at 723-3763 to make your reservation.

Salamanca Allegheny casino trip is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 30. The bus will leave Big Lots in North Warren at 9 a.m. Call 723-4180

View the city lights Monday. Leave Center at 5 p.m. The tradition continues - riding on the TAWC Bus to enjoy outdoor Christmas decorations. Afterwards we'll stop for hot chocolate.

Quilt raffle drawing on Wednesday at Noon - just a few more days left to buy your tickets for a chance to win our amazing handmade quilt, stitched by our talented quilters.

Holiday Brunch on Thursday, Christmas Eve Day at 9:30 a.m.: Enjoy omelet, home fries, bacon, sausage, English muffins and beverage. Call ahead to reserve, 723-3237.
