Gloria M. MacKenzie, 81, of 1123 Griff Hill Rd., Fox's Trailer Court, Clarendon, Pa. died Tuesday evening, December 15, 2009 at Snyder Memorial Home, Marienville, Pa. after suffering a stroke in March of 2009. She was born December 11, 1928 in Bradford, Pa. to the late Edgar Keys and Caroline Goodwill Smith. She was raised in Titusville, Pa. where she was a 1946 Graduate of Titusville High School. She was a Warren County resident most of her life. Gloria was employed for 20 plus years as a waitress and had worked for the former G.T.E. Sylvania, G.G. Greene Enterprises and Bond Electric of Clarendon, Pa. She was currently attending the Warren Alliance Church. She is described by her children as the "Best Mom" anyone could ever ask for. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed picnics, loved her pets and bird watching and was a great flower grower of many colors.
She is survived by her 3 sons William H. MacKenzie and wife Diane, Charles E. MacKenzie and wife, Tina, Donald W. MacKenzie all of Clarendon, Pa.; 2 Grandsons Shane MacKenzie, Lance Ferrand; 4 Great Grandchildren Ivar Hudson, Kaylee and Aden MacKenzie, Cam Ferrand; several brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward MacKenzie whom she married December 4, 1948. Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, Pa. on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. and on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. when a funeral and committal service will be conducted there with Rev. Seth A. McClymonds, Jr., Pastor of the Stoneham United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
