Warren

Retail theft. Warren City police reported a girl, 14, was taken into custody at 9:08 a.m. Dec. 7 after officers were dispatched to Thorne's Bi Lo, 4 Market St., for a report of shoplifting. Police said the juvenile gave officers a false name and address after being placed into custody for retail theft.

Terroristic threats. Warren City police reported Joshua J. Dyke, 18, 1447 Reynolds Run Rd., Russell, was taken into custody at approximately 11 p.m. on Nov. 25 by Adult Probation at Warren General Hospital for a probation violation. Police reported a criminal complaint was filed Dec. 8 charging him after he directly communicated to his Adult Probation Officer on that date that when he gets out of jail he was going to hunt him down and shoot him in the back of the head. Police reported the defendant then told the victim he was a dead man. Police reported Dyke then caused a disturbance in the open sally port area of the Warren County Jail. Police reported he was spitting at officers and threatening to shoot them all when he gets released.

Conewango Twp.

Theft. Conewango Township police reported someone went onto the porch of a residence owned by Regina Kays at 814 Benjamin Lane and stole her Ozark Trail tent between 10:30 p.m. Dec. 8 and 4:30 p.m. Dec. 9. Police said the tent is described as orange in color with a zip-up case. Police said anyone with information is asked to contact the Conewango Township Police Department.

Eldred Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police reported Dayle M. Bean, 52, Pittsfield, was driving a Honda Ranger ES east on Mickle Hill Road at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 4. Police reported Bean fell off of the Ranger ES due to existing medical conditions. Police reported Bean was not wearing a helmet and was transported to Hamot for moderate injuries. Police reported they were assisted at the scene by Garland Volunteer Fire Department and Grand Valley Volunteer Fire Department. Police reported charges were filed against Bean.

Mead Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police reported Vanessa L. Little, 20, Bradford, was driving a 2005 Pontiac G6 east on Rt. 59 at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 8. Police reported Little was attempting to negotiate a left curve, on a slight down-hill grade, when she lost control of the vehicle on the snow-covered roadway. Police reported the G6 then fish-tailed and subsequently spun around 180 degrees. Police reported Little was not able to regain control of the vehicle, subsequently leaving the roadway and sliding backwards down an embankment located off the left shoulder of the roadway. Police reported the G6 stopped approximately 30 feet north of the roadway after striking several large rocks near the bottom of the embankment. Police reported the G6 received disabling damage to the front and rear passenger side tires, transmission, and rear bumper area. Police reported the G6 was towed from the scene. Police reported the incident was caused by driving vehicle at safe speeds. Police reported charges were filed against Little.

Sugar Grove Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police reported Laurel A. Borkowski, 21, Wattsburg, was driving a 2004 Dodge Stratus north on Rt. 69 at 4:50 p.m. Dec. 7. Police reported Borkowski lost control while traveling downhill and negotiating a left-hand curve. Police reported the Stratus slid counterclockwise and off the northbound berm for approximately 27 feet. Police reported after leaving the roadway, the Stratus continued north, traveling down an embankment for approximately 30 feet. Police reported the rear of the Stratus made initial impact with a tree. Police reported after initial impact, the right side of the Stratus made a second impact with another tree. Police reported Borkowski was wearing her seatbelt and was not injured. Police reported the Stratus was towed from the scene. Police reported charges were filed against Borkowski.
