GARSON EDWARDS

Garson Clair Edwards, 66, of 10 First Mill St., Sheffield, passed away at his residence at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25 after a seven month battle with cancer.

Edwards was born June 22, 1943 in Saybrook to the late Charles F. and Pearl A. Jefferson Edwards. He worked at Sheffield Container and IPSCO.

Edwards is survived by his wife of 40 years, Darla J. Fulton Edwards; three sons: John P. Edwards, Warren; William A. Edwards, Sheffield; Donnie L. Edwards, Warren; one daughter: Connie L. Blankenship and husband Dennis, Ludlow; two brothers: Thomas H. Edwards, Warren; Alan Edwards, Sheffield; one sister: Carol Snyder, Florida; three grandsons: Jonathon K. and Chase R. Blankenship and Samuel Edwards; two granddaughters: Marissa J. Blankenship and Nakia R. Edwards; one stepgrandson, Ryan Morgan; one stepgranddaughter Thea Kearney; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son in 1990, Garson "Buzzie" Edwards; two brothers: Douglas and Chase Edwards; and two sisters: Leota Edwards and Janet Branch.

The memorial service will be announced and interment will be held in Sheffield Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Warren or American Cancer Society. The BordenLloyd Funeral Home, Sheffield, is in charge of arrangements.
