Christmas in Sugar Grove
Sugar Grove Christmas with living windows, caroling, hay rides and Santa Claus is planned for 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11. Participants will include community members, churches, the library and the fire department. The event is being sponsored by AMVETS/AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary, Post #50.
AARP to lunch
The local chapter 4297 of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Warren Holiday Inn for breakfast. New members are always welcome to join. For further information, call 723-7814.
CDA to meet
Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CD of A) of Sheffield and Warren, Court De La Roque # 657,, will meet Thursday, Dec. 10, after the 6 p.m. Mass at St. Anthony's Church in Saybrook. Committee members will be Kathy Davidson, Kathy Haumesser and Pat Wholben. Members are reminded to take finger food to share.
Off to Riverside
Spaces remain for the bus going to the Riverside Inn on Friday, Dec. 11, leaving Warren Senior Center, 800 Pennsylvania Ave. W., at 4:45 p.m. There will be a delicious dinner and the play "The Bench," a modern tale of Christmas full of singing and dancing. Women to lunch
Retired women of the Warren County Courthouse will have lunch at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Warren Holiday Inn.
Class to lunch
Warren High School Class of 1963 will have lunch at noon Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Variety Buffet, Warren Commons, North Warren.
Men to breakfast
Warren County School District Retired Men's Breakfast will be at Perkins Restaurant, Warren, at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10.
Dollers to meet
The Kinzua Country Dollers will meet at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Conewango Club, downstairs in the Oak Room, for the annual holiday luncheon and meeting. A program will be presented by Mike Madigan on the "Toys for Tots" organization that assists children who might not receive anything for Christmas to be surprised with a new toy. Members are asked to take new unwrapped toys, not necessarily dolls, to give to Madigan for distribution.
