YHS defeats Randolph Central in High School Bowl match
Youngsville Area High School defeated Randolph Central School 86-64 in a recent WJTN High School Bowl competition at Jamestown Community College. Jefferson Forton of Youngsville was chosen "Player of the Match."
Other members of the Youngsville team included Ryan Sweeney, Leslie Bailey, and Alex Dunn. The Youngsville team is coached by Gary Monza.
The Randolph team, coached by Kathy Klee, included Bryanna Martonis, Cadi Lynn, Adam Ditcher, Amy Ruth, Erika Austin, Brianna Loop, and Briana Matson.
In another match, Kane Area High School defeated Maple Grove High School 74-63. Andrew Carpenter of Kane was named "Player of the Match."
The Kane team, coached by Daleen Cecchetti and JoAnne Perry, also included Jamie Nowalk, Andrew Carley, Kari Schleicher, Ginny Robbins, Amy Strandburg, and Tom Sirianni.
Members of the Maple Grove team included Henry Kestner, Arabelle Clark, Steven Goebel, Lacey Andrews, Aaron Saxton, Cale Hawkins, Kyle Jarvis, Antonio Galbier, Kellie Richardson, and Johanna Gatto. The team is coached by Matt Hewitt.
Airing on Sundays on radio station WJTN, High School Bowl is now in its 49th year.
