Conewango Twp.
Confinement of dogs. Conewango Township police on Sunday cited Keith Cyphert of 20 Catherine Lane, Warren, for a summary violation after a complaint was filed by a neighbor that Cyphert's dog was loose and was not in control by its owner.
Crash. Conewango Township police cited a North Warren resident following an accident on North State Street at about 3:45 p.m. Friday. Police said Erica Carlstrom of 52 North State Street backed out of a driveway and struck a vehicle driven by Michele Sokolski as Sokolski was traveling north on North State Street. There were no injuries, but both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
Crash. One driver was cited following an accident at about 12:55 p.m. Friday on Route 62 at the traffic signal at the entrance to Warren Commons. According to Conewango Township police, a vehicle driven by Amber Swanson failed to stop for the red light and struck a vehicle driven by Carolyn Lewis as Lewis was leaving the Warren Commons facing a green left turn arrow. Swanson was cited for a red light violation. Both drivers refused treatment and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Freehold Twp.
Crash. According to Warren-based state police, a car owned by Joseph McCoy of Columbus and operated by a 17-year-old juvenile was traveling north on Rout 958 at about 1:10 p.m. Friday when it went out of control on a right curve, fish-tailed and came around clockwise, slid sideways and went off the roadway. The car rolled several times before coming to rest in a field. Both the operator and a female passenger in the car were taken by ambulance to Corry Hospital where they were treated and released. The operator was charged with speeding. Names of the driver and passenger were withheld by police.
Farmington Twp.
Damage. State police reported that sometime between 11 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday someone knocked down a mailbox belonging to Heather M. Cathcart of Russell, resulting in $25 damage. Anyone with information regarding this incident, or suffering from a similar incident has been asked to call the state police.
Pine Grove Twp.
DUI. According to state police based in Warren, Norma Jean Harrison of Steamburg, N.Y., was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol at about 10:41 p.m. Thursday after an incident in which she was driving on Route 62 when her rear passenger side tire blew causing her to exit her lane of travel. She was able to regain control and bring the vehicle to a stop. However, it was determined through investigation that she was under the influence of alcohol.
Pittsfield Twp.
DUI. Scott Proctor, 32, of Waterford was cited by Warren-based state police at about 1 a.m. Sunday when the vehicle he was driving struck a vehicle owned by Phillip Holcomb of Pittsfield parked along the side of Hosmer Run Road. Police said Proctor failed to stop and exchange the required information and fled the scene. He was located a short time later at a camp on Bush Road and found to be under the influence of alcohol.
Sheffield Twp.
Crash. A Ludlow man was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol following a crash on Route 6 a half mile east of Horton Avenue at about 1:15 p.m. Thursday. According to Warren-based state police, a car operated by Keith W. Newton, 41 of Ludlow was following a care operated by Michelle Pierce, 42 of Sheffield when the Pierce vehicle slowed to make a left turn into a private driveway. Police said the Newton vehicle attempted to pass on the left and struck the Pierce vehicle. After impact the Newton vehicle left the roadway and rolled over. Newton was not injured but was transported to Kane Memorial Hospital as a precaution. Pierce was injured and taken to Warren General Hospital for treatment. Three passengers in the Pierce vehicle were not injured. State police were assisted at the scene by Sheffield Volunteer Fire Department and an off-duty Kane Borough police officer.

Borough
DUI. Pennsylvania State Police filed charged of DUI and summary traffic violations against Joshua Water Neall, 23, of Warren when he was stopped at about 11:58 p.m. on Nov. 14 in Sugar Grove Borough and found to be under the influence of alcohol.
