ELOISE LOBDELL

Eloise B. Lobdell, 92, of 6 Exchange Street, Clarendon, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, surrounded by her family.

Eloise was born October 18, 1917, in Clarendon, the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Jones Johnson. She and her sister were raised by the late Mr. and Mrs. James Leon Dykins. She was employed by GTE Sylvania for twentyfour years before retiring in 1972. She attended the Clarendon United Methodist Church and was also a member of the I.A.M. Union, and the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. Mrs. Lobdell was the oldest living person in Clarendon that was born there. She enjoyed crocheting and especially her family, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by, three sons, Jack Lobdell and his wife Cindy, Russell, Judy Lobdell and his wife Ruth Ann, and Thomas Lobdell and his wife Jeanne, both of Warren, a daughter, Sandra Brian and her husband Harland, Clarendon, a former daughter in law, Carolyn Shreve, Warren; a sister, Lorraine Youngquist and her husband Robert, Nokomis, Florida; sixteen grandchildren, thirtyfive great grandchildren and six greatgreat grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and the Dykins who raised her, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benny C. Lobdell, whom she married on August 18, 1935, who passed away on May 25, 2008, a son, James Lobdell and a grandson David Lobdell.

Friends may call at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 2 4 p.m. and 6 8 p.m.. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Marty Reynolds, pastor, Clarendon United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Warren County Memorial Park.
