Columbus Twp.

Crash. Corry-based state police reported Jay M. McCoy, 44, Columbus with passenger Jack C. McCoy, 77, Columbus, was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina at 11:44 a.m. on Nov. 14 when he attempted to turn left onto Plank Rd. at 11:44 a.m. Nov. 14 and turned into the path Tim E. Nelson, 50, Columbus with passenger Stacie L. Higley, 40, Columbus who was driving a 1995 Oldsmobile 88. Police reported the 88 struck the front right side of the Lumina with its front. Police reported the Lumina came to rest facing north in a lawn area and the 88 came to rest facing north just behind the Lumina mostly on the roadway. Police reported the McCoys suffered minor injuries and Higley suffered a moderate injury while Nelson was not injured.

Deerfield Twp.

Disorderly Conduct/Harassment. Warren-based state police reported Paul F. Durkac, 69, Tidioute, cussed Robert N. Condor, 52, Salina, out and threatened to cause bodily injury to him at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 15 at a camp across the road from 10163 Davey Hill Rd. Police reported Durkac also threatened to cause damage to his camp. Police reported non-traffic citations were filed in District Court.

Eldred Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police reported someone took an electric gas pump from a diesel storage tank on Newton Rd. between Nov. 11 and 13, belonging to George Bush, 82, Pittsfield. Police reported anyone with information should contact Warren-based state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Mead Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police reported Daniel Eric Ristau, 23, Clarendon, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet sedan heading westbound on Route 6, west of the Mineral Well Restaurant at 2:55 a.m. Nov. 15. Police reported Ristau failed to maintain control of the sedan which went off the right side of the roadway. Police reported the Sedan went across a small ditch alongside the roadway, and then struck another small ditch running perpendicular to the roadway. Police reported the sedan went airborne for approximately 50 feet, flipping onto the roof upon impact with the ground. Police reported the sedan skidded on th roof for approximately 60 feet before coming to final rest on the roof facing westbound. Police reported they arrived at the scene almost immediately after the crash occurred and removed Ristau from the vehicle. Police reported Ristau was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and subsequently arrested for DUI.

Pine Grove Twp.

Criminal Mischief. Warren-based state police reported numerous mailboxes were smashed overnight in the Russell and Aekley area between Nov. 14 and 15. Police reported a partial vehicle description has been developed and an investigation is ongoing. Police reported anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact Warren-based state police or Crimestoppers. Police reported anyone who was a victim and has not contacted police may call Warren-based state police and leave their information to be added to the report if they desire.

Pleasant Twp.

Robbery/Burglary. Warren-based state police reported two people kicked in the locked door of the home of Eileen J. Armstrong, 46, Warren, at 1131 Pleasant Drive and confronted the victim as she was lying on her bed at approximately 10 p.m. Nov. 13. Police reported one of the intruders produced a knife and demanded some of Armstrong's property. Police reported Armstrong was then able to retrieve her own weapon and convinced the intruders to leave. Police reported both ran out of Amstrong's house and left the scene. Police reported they were assisted at the scene by the City of Warren Police Department. Police reported this crime is this week's Warren County Crime Stoppers' Crime of the Week. Police reported a cash reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in this case. Police reported anyone with information should call the Warren County Crimestoppers at 1-800-83-CRIME 24/7. Police reported callers can remain anonymous.

Sugar Grove Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police reported a 1985 Honda Shadow was traveling north on Route 69, 1083 feet east of Gregary lane at 2:05 p.m. Nov. 13. Police reported as the driver attempted to negotiate a sharp left curve, the vehicle went off the right shoulder of the roadway, striking a patch of gravel. Police reported the driver then lost control of the vehicle, subsequently laying the motorcycle down in the north bound lane. Police reported the driver was able to remain on the vehicle, but the rear passenger was ejected from the vehicle, landing in a patch of grass off the right shoulder of the roadway. Police reported reported the vehicle received minor damage to a left side foot peg. Police reported citations were issued for: roadways laned for traffic, no registration, expired inspection and no insurance. Police reported charges were filed through District Justice Laura Bauer's office. Police were unable Sunday night to identify either of the two people involved in the accident.

D.V. - Harassment. Warren-based state police reported Mark D. Pierson, 57, Sugar Grove, and Estie L. Myers, 51, Warren, were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical when both pushed each other and pulled one another's hair. Police reported the altercation was entered into by mutual consent. Police reported non-traffic citations were filed in District Court.

Sugar Grove Boro.

DUI/Criminal Mischief/Reckless Endangerment. Warren-based state police reported James Dean Groves, 28, Sugar Grove, drove his 2003 Ford F250 truck from the roadway over a sidewalk and over a concrete curb into the parking area on the corner of Route 957 and Route 69 at 2:45 a..m. Nov. 14. Police reported Groves used the truck to hit a 2001 Jeep Cherokee owned by Robert A. Samkic, 29, Ashville, N.Y., and push the Cherokee approximately 30 yards across the parking lot. Anthony R. Marotto, 32, Ashville, N.Y., said he had to jump behind a telephone pole to avoid being struck by the truck. Police reported Groves, after causing the damage, left the scene in his vehicle. The Cherokee sustained moderate damage to the front side of the vehicle. Police located Groves a short time later at his residence. Police said that while the investigation was being conducted, it was determined Groves was intoxicated. Groves was arrested for DUI, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and several summary traffic citations.
