Conewango Twp.

Theft. According to Conewango Township police, Bill Evans, 3640 Jackson Run Rd., reported that between Oct. 31 and Nov. 7 someone took a tree stand and tripod chair, valued at $75, from the wooded area across Route 69 from his residence. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police at 726-0725.

Assault/criminal mischief. Conewango Township police reported that Robert Whyte, 25, of Warren became upset following a court hearing at 1:17 p.m. Thursday and assaulted Warren State Hospital staff in the parking lot of District Justice Laura Bauer's office, breaking two windows of the transport van, brandishing a piece of glass toward the staff and also striking staff with a closed fist. Police said he was taken into custody and charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault, two misdemeanor counts of simple assault and one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief. Whyte was arraigned before Bauer with bail set at $25,000 and was then remanded to the Warren State Hospital Forensic Unit, police said.

Criminal mischief. According to Warren-based state police, Essie J. Moore Jr., 54, of Warren grabbed wire frame glasses off the head of Debra McKee, of Warren at 5:45 a.m. Saturday at Warren State Hospital and bent the frames, causing $300 damage. Moore will answer to charges before District Justice Laura Bauer, police said.

Deerfield Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police reported that Alyssa B. Griffin, 20, of Warren was traveling north on Davey Hill Road at Althom Road at 5 p.m. Friday in a 2002 Ford Focus and lost control while attempting to negotiate a left-hand curve, traveled of the east side of the road and struck an embankment and a traffic sign. Police said that neither Griffin nor a passenger, Joanna C. Jaskolka, 20, of Warren sustained any injuries.

Glade Twp.

Harassment. Lester Stroup, 61, of Warren reported to Warren-based state police that between 8:30 and 9 p.m. Saturday he was harassed by a man while at the Marine Corps League on Jackson Ave. Extension. An investigation is continuing, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Crime Stoppers.

Pittsfield Twp.

Crash. According to Warren-based state police, Dale J. Follett, 17, of Pittsfield was traveling north on Davey Hill Road at 7:40 a.m. Sunday when the 1988 Ford Mustang he was driving left the roadway on the right side and traveled 84 feet before striking an embankment and rotating as it overturned, resulted in the vehicle coming to a rest on its roof facing south, approximately 75 feet from the initial impact. Police said Follett was transported to Corry Memorial Hospital via Youngsville Ambulance Service for treatment of minor injuries.

ATV crash. Warren-based state police reported that William S. Mallette Jr., of 2141 Timber Lane, Harborcreek, was traveling north on Torpedo Road without a helmet at 10:20 p.m. Saturday when for an unknown reason his 2005 Arctic Cat ATV traveled off the right side of the road for approximately nine feet and entered a ditch, striking an embankment and continued for approximately 27 feet before it rolled over, causing Mallette to be thrown from the ATV. Police, who are continuing to investigate, said that Mallette was transported to Hamot Medical Center, Erie, by LifeStar helicopter with serious injuries.

Southwest Twp.

Crash. According to Warren-based state police, Chelsea N. Messinger, 20, of Corry was traveling east on Route 27 at 4:45 a.m. Friday in a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee when she lost control due to slippery conditions and traveled across the westbound lane and off the road and traveled in an easterly direction for approximately 27 feet before hitting a tree, then continued approximately 27 more feet and rolled over, coming to rest on the roof, facing east. No injuries were reported, police said.
