DOROTHY JEROME

Dorothy M. Jerome, 84, of Linesville, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at her residence.

Born March 2, 1925 in Girard, Ohio, she was the daughter of Harold and Ina Knierman Davis. She married Robert J. Jerome on July 17, 1945 in Las Vegas; he preceded her in death on July 17, 1980.

She was a member of the Linesville United Methodist Church.

She worked at the Conneaut Lake Park Golf Course for many years. She also worked for several years as a teacher's aide at Alice Schafer Elementary School in Linesville.

She enjoyed reading, watching sports, and playing cards.

Survivors include a daughter, Terry Fera (Anthony) of Youngsville, Pa; two sons, Jerry D. Jerome (Eva) of Erie and Robert U. Jerome (Glenda) of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren, Jacki, Jerry, T.J., Amanda, and Janice; a greatgranddaughter, Katie; greatgreatgranddaughter, Alayna; a sister, Violet Keefer and her husband Clyde of Linesville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Diane Funyak; and a sister, Viola Faxel.

As per her wishes, cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the RoyalColeman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville, with Rev. Jim Tubbs, officiating.

Burial will be private in Linesville Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Linesville Library, PO Box 97 or to the Linesville United Methodist Church, PO Box 86, both of Linesville, PA 16424.
