After spending the regular season locked in a battle for the Region 4 crown, Youngsville and Warren go their separate ways in the playoffs.

The Eagles, who finished the regular season with a 12-2 overall record and a second-place region standing at 10-2, will compete in the District 10 Class A volleyball playoffs Wednesday at Meadville Area High School, while the region champion Dragons (13-1 overall and 11-1 in the region) play in the District 10 Class AA playoffs Thursday, also at Meadville.

The Class A tournament features two pools of three teams each and two teams will advance to the Regional playoffs scheduled for November 10. Joining the Eagles in Pool B will be the Cochranton Cardinals and Jamestown Muskies. Pool A includes Sharpsville, Mercer and Maplewood.

Youngsville begins pool play at 5 p.m. Wednesday against Cochranton and then faces Jamestown at 6 p.m. A single Eagles victory will ensure a spot in the D-10 semifinals slated for noon on Saturday at Meadville High School. The Class A championship is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

The Class AA tournament features two pools of four teams each with two teams also advancing to the Class AA regional playoffs. Warren's pool includes Wilmington, Fort LeBoeuf and region-rival Titusville, while the opposite pool features General McLane, Harbor Creek, North East and Meadville.

Warren begins pool play at 5 p.m. Thursday against Fort LeBoeuf. The Dragons' Thursday schedule also includes a 7 p.m. contest with Wilmington and a 9 p.m. showdown with Titusville. If Warren is a champion or runner-up in its pool, it will play in the D-10 semifinals at 1 p.m. Saturday at Meadville. The D-10 Class AA championship is scheduled for 3 p.m.

Both the Class A and AA tournaments will again feature a pool play format. All pool play matches and semifinal matches will be best of three rally scoring. If a third game is needed, it will be a game to 25. All championship matches will be best of five rally scoring.

Below is the schedule for each tournament, beginning with the Class A tournament on Wednesday:
