Cancer support offered
The Women's Cancer Support Group will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Bob Evans Restaurant in North Warren. The monthly meeting of the group is the third Thursday of each month. The next meeting will be Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. in the lobby of the Warren General Hospital Cancer Center. Contact Linda Loomis at 563-9566 for further information.
Win at bridge

To hike Brush Hollow
On Sunday, Nov. 8, the Allegheny Outdoor Club (AOC) will have a four-mile loop hike on the Brush Hollow Trail. Participants will meet at Howe's True Value on Rt. 6, Warren, at 1 p.m. The trailhead is located on Rt. 948, ten miles north of Ridgway. Dinner is canceled
RSVP and YVC announce they are canceling the spaghetti dinner that was scheduled for Nov. 10 at Warren Senior Community Center.
Benefit planned
A benefit dinner will be sponsored by Pack 45 and Crossett, Inc., from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7. The scalloped potato and ham dinner will be served at St John's Lutheran Church, 200 Pleasant Dr., Warren. Proceeds will benefit the Kyle and Carmen Johnson family of Warren whose 13-month-old son, Bobby, has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Luck shoot set
The trap league of AMVETS Post 50, Sugar Grove, will have a winter luck shoot and 27-yard protections from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, to benefit Eisenhower High School's trap team.

Spaghetti served Saturday
There will be a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Warren First Free Methodist Church, 135 Conewango Ave.
Philomel Club to meet
The Philomel Club of Warren will have member and guest night at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Woman's Club of Warren, 310 Market St. The program will be led by chairperson Marjorie Lopez, with performers Denise Pearson, Cathy Peterson, Karen Schmitt, Mary Beth Whiting. Hostesses for the tureen dinner will be Liz Brown, Mary Donaldson, Marjorie Lopez and Sandy Ransom.
Polka Sunday

Raffle party in Garland
Garland Community Center, 204 Extension Rd., Garland, will host a raffle party with free admission on Sunday, Nov. 8. The day will feature a free all-you-can-eat chicken and biscuit dinner, more than $1,000 in prizes, a Chinese auction, a 50-50 and special drawings and prizes for children. This will be a family event with no alcohol and raffles starting at 25 cents. Doors will open at 2 p.m., and dinner will be served at 3 p.m.
Turkey party in Scandia
Scandia Volunteer Fire Department will host a turkey party Saturday, Nov. 7, at the fire hall, 5950 Scandia Rd. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted at the door. Prizes will include guns, turkeys, hams, steaks and cash. For information, call 757-8091.
