Warren

Arrested. Officers of the Warren County Adult Probation Department arrested Steven Wagner, 25, Warren, on a charge of violation of parole and probation. Wagner, who was originally placed on parole and probation on a charge of possession with intent to deliver, was arrested on a supervisor's warrant and committed to the Warren County Prison pending further court action.

Possession. Warren-based state police charged Travis Whippo, 21, Warren, with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Pennsylvania Avenue at 12:16 a.m. Oct. 30. According to police, Whippo was a passenger in the vehicle that was stopped for traffic violations and officers determined that he was in possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana.

Conewango Twp.

Hit and run. Tammy Koerselman, Russell, reported to Warren-based state police that the left rear section of her 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan was struck by another vehicle while parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot between 12:30 and 12:45 p.m. Oct. 30. Police said the driver of the other vehicle failed to stay at the scene and provide information to Koerselman. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Crime Stoppers.

Freehold Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police responded to the scene of a one-vehicle accident on Stoney Run Road at 12:26 a.m. Sunday. According to police, Glenn Rudd Jr., 40, Rome, N.Y., who was traveling south on Stoney Run Road, failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of his 1995 Pontiace Transport van. Police said Rudd traveled off the road and sideswiped a residential mobile home, causing minor damage, then returned to the road before traveling off the road again and striking a ditch. Police said Rudd's vehicle became disabled in the ditch and he fled on foot. Police said Rudd, who was not injured, was located later by troopers and found to be under the influence of alcohol and in possession of a controlled substance. Police said Rudd was charged with DUI, several summary traffic violations and possession of a controlled substance.

Mead Twp.

Theft. Personnel at Howe's True Value, Route 6, reported to Warren-based state police that between Oct. 31 and Nov. 2 someone stole a 42-inch tractor snowplow, a set of tractor wheel weights, a gas console heater, two used gas grills and three old water heaters from the business' parking lot. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Crime Stoppers.

Theft of services. Personnel at WestPA.net reported to Warren-based state police that between Oct. 13 and 28 Stanley Madigan, 34 Anchor St., Clarendon, reconnected his cable after it had been shut off due to non-payment.

Sheffield Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police stopped a vehicle operated by Peggy Pierce, 34, Sheffield, for traffic violations at 12:53 a.m. Oct. 31 on Route 6. Police said Pierce was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Police said she was charged with DUI incapable of safe operation, DUI high rate of alcohol and other summary traffic violations.

Charged. Warren-based state police said George Howe, 32, Tomball, Texas, was attempting to turn off of Route 6 and onto a private driveway at 4 a.m. Oct. 31, but missed the driveway and drove his 2001 Ford F-150 into a drainage ditch and became stuck. Police said he was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Police said Howe was charged with DUI incapable of safe operation, DUI highest rate of alcohol and other summary traffic violations.

Triumph Twp.

Criminal mischief. James Durnell, 65, Frostproof, Fla., reported to Warren-based state police that between Oct. 30 and Nov. 2 someone smashed out the driver's side window on his Ford F-150 while it was parked at 2946 Campbell Hill Rd. Police said the loss is estimated at $150. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Crime Stoppers.

Sugar Grove

Burglary. Neil Horisington, 48, 108 School St., Sugar Grove, reported to Warren-based state police that between 10 p.m. Oct. 28 and 6 a.m. Oct. 29 someone entered his garage and removed a Dewalt chop saw and a Senco air compressor. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Crimestoppers.

Youngsville

DUI. Edward Torres, 44, Corry, was charged with DUI following a traffic stop by the Warren County DUI Enforcement Team at 2:20 a.m. Oct. 31 on W. Main Street, Youngsville. Officers said a criminal complaint will be filed at District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth's office.
