GIRLS SOCCER: Lady Knights fall to Seneca at home

Eisenhower just couldn't get over the hump on Monday.
After winning a double-overtime match against Smethport in their last outing, the Lady Knights could not capitalize on thier offense chances, dropping a 3-0 decision to Seneca Monday at Eisenhower Middle/High School.
The Lady Knights played tough in the first half. Despite not getting many scoring opportunities, and having the ball in their zone for much of the first period, Eisenhower was able to keep Seneca off of the board until the Bobcats scored with 36 seconds remaining in the half; Seneca taking a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Seneca extended the lead on a goal in the fifth minute of the second half, but Eisenhower didn't give in.
After Seneca's second goal, the Lady Knights pushed the ball into Seneca territory, but could not convert several quality scoring opportunities and the Bobcats were able to maintain their 2-0 lead. Seneca was able to score again, and ice the game, at the 20-minute mark of the second half to finish the scoring at 3-0.
Eisenhower drops to 6-10 overall with the loss. The Knights look to rebound quickly and get back into the win column as they travel to Titusville to take on the Rockets on Tuesday afternoon.
