Marion H. King, 83, a 54year resident of 606 Madison Ave., Warren, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Wesley Glenn Health Care Center in Columbus, Ohio, following a brief illness.
Mrs. King was born February 16, 1926, in Bradford, Pa., the daughter of the late Frank and Marion Delo Hyde. Mrs. King graduated with a BA from Allegheny College and was employed as an English teacher with the Warren County School District for 25 years. She taught at Beaty Jr. High and the then Warren Area High School. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, where she was very active in all church functions, especially the K Group and the Friendship Club. She was also a member of the Blue Stockings, the Women's Club, the Garden Club, the Retired Teachers Association, and the Delta Kappa Gammas.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Bauman, and her husband Kevin, Columbus, OH, and Susan Mueller and her husband Harold, Lafayette, IN; five grandchildren, Christopher Mueller, Andrew Mueller, Jennifer (Schnell) Dickson and her husband Robert, Jeff Bauman, and Eric Bauman; a great granddaughter, Chloe Bauman; two nephews, and three nieces.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Mryon L. King whom she married on July 1, 1949 and who passed away on July 27, 1994, a brother, Frank Hyde, and a sister Jane Bell.
Friends may call at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Friday October 23, from 68 p.m. and at the Grace United Methodist Church for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there on Saturday October 24, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Kevin Haley, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
