Warren
Burglary, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, harassment. Warren City police reported Rudolph N. Manelick, 31, 174 Matthews Run Rd., Youngsville, was taken into custody and charged at 8:33 p.m. Oct. 15 after officers were dispatched to 27 Carver St. for the report of an intoxicated male subject entering the residence and engaging in a physical altercation with the occupants. Police said the male subject was refusing to leave the residence after being told to do so by the occupants. Police reported Manelick was eventually physically removed from the residence by one of the occupants. Police said he attempted to gain entry into a passing vehicle and was pulled away from the vehicle by a neighbor witnessing the incident. Police reported Manelick was taken to WGH for medical clearance and turned over to Adult Probation on a probation violation.
Youngsville
Probation violation. Officers of the Warren County Adult Probation Department arrested Mark Cox, 45, Youngsville, on Oct. 15 for charges of violation of probation. Officers reported the defendant was originally placed on probation on the charge of contempt of violation of court order. Officers reported Cox was arrested on a supervisor's warrant and committed to the Warren County Jail pending further court action.
Columbus Twp.
Crash. Corry-based state police reported Jacqueline E. Harkins, 29, Corry, with passengers Karlie Harkins, 13; Austin Harkins, 8; Persephanie Harkins, 11 and Devion Harkins, 7, all of Corry, was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer east on Route 426 when she lost control on a slippery roadway while crossing a bridge. Police reported the Explorer began to spin sideways and the driver attempted to regain control. Police reported the Explorer left the roadway on the right, struck the bridge rail and continued to spin around. The Explorer rolled over and came to rest back upright in the mouth of a driveway off the south side of Route 426, police said. Police reported all occupants were transported to Corry Emergency Room by Corry and Elgin ambulances.
Conewango Twp.
Public drunkenness, disorderly conduct. Conewango Township police reported Robert Milo Thomas Jr. of Scott Run Road was charged at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 15. Police reported Thomas was witnessed numerous times jumping into the roadway of Route 6 at Scott Run Road into oncoming traffic. Police said upon their arrival Thomas walked in front of the patrol vehicle as it was traveling down the road. Police reported they apprehended Thomas, who was highly intoxicated and charged him.
Freehold Twp.
Crash. Corry-based state police reported Richard E. Wilson, 70, Russell, was driving a 2005 Ford F-150 west on Route 6 at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 16 and struck a patch of snow and slush in the roadway. Police reported the truck traveled off the north side of the roadway and struck a tree with its driver's side front end and spun 180 degrees. Police reported the truck struck a tree with the rear of the vehicle before traveling across the oncoming travel lane striking another tree head on and coming to rest.
Howe Twp.
Crash. Ridgway-based state police reported they are re-investigating a one-vehicle crash on Route 66 at 12:01 a.m. Oct. 16. Police reported Donald Belmore, 50, Marlborough, Mass. was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with passengers Gregg Belmore, 47, Land of Lakes, Fla.; Gary Cutler, 50, Shirley, Mass. and Lawrence Kleinkneckt, 47, Clinton, Mass. The vehicle was traveling south on Route 66, police reported, and for some reason the vehicle left the roadway on the north berm traveling down into a ditch. Police reported the vehicle hit the ditch with its front end and the rear rotated counter clockwise. Police reported the vehicle rolled two times coming to a point of final rest upright on its wheels off the roadway. Police reported during the rolling of the vehicle, the driver was ejected through the driver's side window which broke during the rolling of the vehicle. Police reported the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Forest County Coroner. Police reported Kane-based state police, Highland Twp. Fire Department, Marienville Fire Department, Kane Fire Department and Kane Ambulance service assisted at the scene.
Erie and Crawford Counties
Burglary arrests. Corry-based state police and Warren-based state police reported they have been investigating several area burglaries from June 19 to July 22. Police reported as a result of these investigations, charges have been filed on Joseph M. Salzillo, 21, Union City and Heather A. Morningstar, 21, Union City for these incidents. Police reported Salzillo is currently incarcerated in Erie County prison on unrelated charges and Morningstar is currently incarcerated in Warren county prison on unrelated charges. Police reported both are to be arraigned on these charges at a later date. Police reported Morningstar was charged with nine counts of burglary and nine counts of theft. Police reported Salzillo was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of theft, four counts of criminal conspiracy and one count of forgery.
