Warren

Arrested. Warren City police arrested Eugene Whipple, 26, 26 Tan St., Sheffield, on Tuesday on a warrant charging him with simple assault and harassment. Police said they had received a complaint on Oct. 4 that Whipple had choked and hit a seven-year-old boy while babysitting him.

Cited. Warren City police cited John Soderberg, 34, 316 Pennsylvania Ave. E., Apt. C, and Betty Jo Covert, 31, 38 Center St., Mount Jewett, with harassment and disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched to the 100 block on Canton St. for a reported domestic dispute. Police said Covert was also cited for drivers required to be licensed.

Bear Lake

Burglary. Corry-based state police reported someone entered the detached garage of Jerry Byers, 44, 329 Center St., and damaged the canopy of a boat parked inside the garage. Police reported the intruder fled the scene undetected.
