STANLEY SPICER

Stanley Harold Spicer, 67, of Box 422, Sheffield, Pa., passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009 at the St. Vincent Health Center.

Mr. Spicer was born February 3, 1942, in Tiona, the son of Stanley M. Spicer and the late Mar-garet Eck Spicer. Stanley was employed at Allegheny Buffalo China, Superior Tire, and later drove trucks for Parker Transfer, Lake Asphalt, and Ernie Lawson, from which he retired due to illness.

He also enjoyed model trains, planes, gardening, and was a history buff, especially with regard to World War II. He was an avid NASCAR and a Grand Am fan, and liked to hunt and fish. He enjoyed his family and his many friends and will be missed by all who knew him and his joke telling.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Egger Spicer, whom he married on Febru-ary 27, 1960; six children, Steven Spicer and his wife Robin, Stephanie Leichten-berger and her husband Mark, Amanda Wilson and her husband Wayne, Andy Spicer and his wife Kimber-ly, Wayne Spicer and his friend Ashley, and Nathan Spicer; 18 grandchildren, Freya, Dejah, Talia, Kalya, Cheyenne, Laura, Jimmy, Kyle, Sarah, Savannah, Cody, Jacob, Gabriell, Cas-sandra, Megan, Skye, Jarri-ot, and Noah; three step grandchildren, Vanessa, Nathan, and Andrew; three great-grandchildren, Niki, Cora, and Kailey; his ex-tended family, Sandy and Bob Hansen, Donna and Jack Hunt, Dan and Sally Egger, Jim and Cindy Egger, Glenda and Leroy Streich, Carrie and Bill Spence; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Spicer in December 2007.

Friends may call at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave. E., Warren, on Monday, September 28, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there on Tuesday, September 29 at 11 a.m.

Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shef-field Ambulance Fund.
