Columbus Twp.
DUI. Corry-based state police reported that Steven Allan Holton, 44, of Corry, was traveling west on Carol Hill Rd. at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, when he drove his vehicle off the road and into ditch. Police said he was found to be under the influence of alcohol and will answer charges of DUI and other related traffic offenses.
Theft. Corry-based state police reported someone took several bottles of prescription medication from within the residence of Randy Eck, 44, 215 Cottage Park, Columbus between 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sept. 23. Police reported the investigation is in progress.
Sugar Grove Twp.
Hit and run. According to Warren-based state police, Robert L. Crane Jr., 32, of Pittsfield, was traveling north on Route. 69 at 7:17 a.m. Wednesday with a load of gravel in a 1987 Mack Superliner and did not realize that his rear gate was not properly secure, causing a significant amount of gravel to leak out onto the roadway. As Dana S. Kibbey, 43, of Sugar Grove, passed Crane while heading southbound in a 2004 Mazda 6, as well as Jordan M. Feldman, 20, of Youngsville, in a 2009 Pontiac G-5, several pieces of gravel struck the front bumpers, hoods, windshields and front quarter panel areas, causing moderate chips and scratches to both vehicles, police said, who further reported that Crane was cited for Securing loads in vehicles.
Mead Twp.
Motorcycle crash. According to Warren-based state police, Ryan S. Copley, 30, of Sheffield, was heading southbound on Forest Road 160 on his 2007 motorcycle at 6:40 p.m. Friday, when the front tire struck a pothole, causing him to lose control while negotiating a left hand curve. Copley, who was wearing a helmet, was transported via Clarendon VFD ambulance to Warren General Hospital for treatment of a moderate ankle injury.
Pittsfield Twp.
Theft of services. Warren-based state police reported that between Aug. 9 and Aug. 15, someone stayed at the Broken Valley Campgrounds and left without paying, with a total value of $119. Police are continuing to investigate.
Conewango Twp.
Found. According to Conewango Township police, a 21-speed, gold Schwinn Skyliner bicycle was found in the Warren Commons area at 5 p.m. Saturday and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
Sheffield
Found. On Wednesday, two handgun magazines and a clip on pouch were found laying on Main St. in Sheffield, according to Warren-based state police. The owner may claim the items by contacting PSP Warren and providing an accurate description.
Youngsville
Death. Warren-based state police report that at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, officers were dispatched to investigate the death of Kenneth John Bigley, 50, at 206 Main St., Youngsville, after family attempted several times to contact him by phone since 2 p.m. Wednesday. No foul play is suspected, police said, who were assisted at the scene by Youngsville VFD.
Criminal Mischief. Warren-based state police reported someone spray painted graffiti on a wooden structure on the property of Christian Trask, 47, Youngsville, between Sept. 7 and Sept. 23. Police reported anyone with information is asked to call Warren-based state police or Warren County Crimestoppers.
