WILLIAM INGRAM
William R. Ingram Sr., 90, of 116 Alling Road, Sheffield, Pa., passed away on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Ingram was born June 7, 1919, in Manorville, Pa., the son of the late Violet Wright Wyant and his stepfather Charles Wyant. Mr. Ingram was a plasterer, a carpenter and woodworker for most of his life. He had also worked at Deluxe Metal for a time, from which he retired.
He was a 50year member of the F.O. of Eagles in Kittanning, Pa. and loved working with wood and making things for people. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Dickey Ingram, whom he married on May 3, 1991; a daughter, Judith Culbertson, Harrisburg, Pa.; a son, William R. Ingram, Jr. and his wife Carol, Kittanning, Pa.; a stepson, Gene Doverspike and his wife Yvonne, Warren; eight grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his feline friends, Blackie and Susie.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Goldie Bellas Ingram on February 25, 1990 and a son, Robert C. Ingram, on September 25, 2005.
Friends may call at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave. E., Warren, on Saturday, September 26, 2009 for two hours prior to a funeral service to be held there at 1 p.m., with Rev. Neil Siefert, Emanuel United Church of Christ, officiating.
Burial will be in the Barnes Cemetery.
