Retail theft. Conewango Township police reported Amanda Page, 19, Route 6, Clarendon, was cited for retail theft at the K-Mart located at the Warren Mall Sept. 22. Police reported while employed at K-Mart, Page took merchandise offered for sale with a total value of $258.18.
Retail theft. Conewango Township police reported David Baker, 31, Milkler Street, Sheffield, was charged for retail theft at the K-Mart located at the Warren Mall Sept. 22. Police reported while employed at K-Mart between July 2008 and September 2009, Baker took merchandise offered for sale with a total value of $3,500.
Farmington Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police reported Jay B. Johnson, 47, Russell, was traveling west on Route 957 in a 1997 Dodge Dakota, striking a 2007 Ford Mustang driven by Douglas M. Edwards, 33, Warren, which had stopped at the intersection. Police reported the Mustang had traveled north on Miller Hill Rd. and had stopped at the intersection of Route 957 and was preparing to turn east on Route 957. Police reported Johnson was determined to be driving under the influence.
Glade Twp.
Theft by unlawful taking. Warren-based state police reported someone stole assorted jewelry valued at approximately $15,000 and assorted U.S. currency including un-circulated coins valued at approximately $500 from the residence of Judy E. Hottel, 61, Warren, at 11:55 p.m. between Aug. 9 and Sept. 20. Police reported the investigation continues and anyone with any information pertaining to this investigation is asked to contact Warren County Crime Stoppers or Warren-based state police.
Mead Twp.
Disorderly conduct. Warren-based state police reported Greggory Scott Wees, 31, 107 Wetmore St., Warren, was cited for disorderly conduct after they responded two times to a camp site along Morrison Run Rd. off Route 6 for a complaint of unreasonable noise. Police reported charges were filed through District Judge Laura Bauer's office.
Sheffield Twp.
Found property. Warren-based state police reported two handguns and a clip on a pouch were found laying along Main Street on Sept. 23. Police reported the owner can claim the items by contacting Warren-based state police and providing an accurate description.
Watson Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police reported Michael A. Mitchell, 20, Warren, was driving a 1997 Mazda Protege north on Route 62 at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 24. Police reported Mitchell failed to keep the Protege within the northbound lane. Police reported the Protege traveled onto the northbound berm for approximately 12 feet before the right front of the vehicle made initial impact with the embankment. Police reported after initial impact, the Protege continued in a northerly direction for approximately 30 feet. Police reported the front of the Protege made a second impact with the embankment and climbed it slightly. Police reported after the second impact the Protege traveled back down the embankment for approximately 33 feet and back into the northbound lane. Police reported after entering the roadway the Protege spun counterclockwise for approximately 15 feet across both lanes of travel and came to final rest in the southbound lane facing southwest.
