LEWIS BAKER
Lewis Baker, 70, of Battleboro, N.C., passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009.
He was born May 22, 1939 in Roulette, Pa., son of the late Ronald Baker and Doris Ford Baker. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Judy and his brother, Roger.
He was employed at Torpedo Wire and Strip of Rocky Mount, N.C. for 30 years.
Lewis leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 50 years, Marilynne Baker; two sons, Eric Baker of Rocky Mount, N.C. and Dan Baker and wife Diane of Waxachie Texas; daughter Wendy Davis and husband Butch of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and grandchildren Casey Baker, Joshua Baker, and Corbin Davis. He will also be remembered by his brothers, Richard Baker and wife Patricia of Inverness Fla., Neil Baker and wife Mary of Tioga Pa. and George Baker and wife Lois of Roulette, Pa. He is also survived by stepmother, Mary Jane Baker of Roulette, Pa.; stepbrothers Larry Wykoff and wife Connie of Pa., and Ernie Wykoff and wife Roberta of Pa.; stepsisters, Violet Russell and husband Richard of Pa., and Susan Young and husband Rodney of Pa.; five step grandchildren; three step greatgrandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Lewis's life will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2009 at Battleboro United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Hayes, officiating.
