EOC holding ‘Grow A New Enterprise’ class

September 9, 2009
The Times Observer

The Warren-Forest Counties Economic Opportunity Council will hold "Grow A New Enterprise" (GANE) classes beginning in September.

Participants should bring an idea or skill to the free ten-week classroom training. These classes have been ongoing for three years.

Classes will help participants set realistic business and personal goals; develop a written business plan; understand the importance of record keeping, financial statements, bookkeeping, marketing and more; gain access to small loans, marketing assistance and other business support services; and receive ongoing assistance as the business grows.

Informational meetings will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, and Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Warren-Forest EOC Building, 1209 Pennsylvania Ave. W. To register, call 406-7357 or email sherman@wfcaa.org. Classes will be held each Wednesday, Sept. 23 through Dec. 2.

This project was funded in part by a grant form the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development.
