IDABELLE SWANSON

Idabelle Mable Swanson, 77, of 147 Elm St. Tionesta, Pa., died Thursday Sept. 3, 2009 at her residence.

She was born Dec. 12, 1931 in Brokenstraw Twp. a daughter of the late Guy and Mable (Johnson) Chase. She was a graduate of Youngsville High School. She worked at the New Process Co. for 15 years, the Sarah Stewart Bovard Library in Tionesta, were she served on the Board of Directors as secretary, Vice President and President, and also worked for the Forest County School District for several years.

She is survived by her husband, Perry B. Swanson, of Tionesta, whom she married Oct. 13, 1962 in Chandlers Valley, Pa; two children: Stanley Swanson of Tionesta and Jill (Rick) Thompson of Strattanville, Pa; three grandchildren: Justin Swanson, and Rachel and Jordan Thompson; two sisters: Susan Ludwick of Corry, Pa.; and Rae Lindell of Russell, Pa.; and two brothers: Ned Chase and Alton(Gladys) Chase, both Of Sugar Grove, Pa.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Guy, Oscar and Charles Chase; a sister, Dorothy Slocum; and a twin sister, Annabelle Anthony.

A private funeral service will be held on Saturday at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc. 304 East St., Warren Pa., 16365.

Friends will be received on Friday from 6 to 8 in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hessell Valley Lutheran Cemetery in Chandlers Valley, Pa.
