Warren
Harassment. Warren City police charged Brian D. Fisk, 52, of 116 Muir St., Apt. 102, with harassment via communication after he allegedly made several non-emergency calls to 911 during the month of August. Police said they had warned Fisk to only call 911 in an emergenc. Non-emergency calls disrupt the operation of the center and the calls are a misuse of Warren County emergency services, police said.
Public drunkenness. J. William Peterson Jr., 68, of 313 Laurel St. was cited for public drunkenness at 5 p.m. Aug. 22 after a city ambulance was dispatched to his home for a fall victim, according to Warren City police. Responders found Peterson lying on the sidewalk at the bottom of the stairs, police said.
Underage drinking. Warren City police said Matthey D. Jenkins, 19, of 112 Main Ave. was cited for underage drinking at 4:40 a.m. Aug. 22 after they came in contact with him at the corner of St. Clair and Main.
Theft. A 17-year-old girl was cite for retail theft at 3:27 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, after she allegedly left Thorne's BiLo without paying for merchandise valued at $18.98, according to Warren City police.
Resisting arrest. Scott G. Kallmeyer, 52, of 205 Oneida Ave. was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct at 4:20 a.m. Aug. 28. Police said Kallmeyer escaped from handcuffs placed on him securely behind his back at Warren General Hospital and began pushing and swinging the handcuffs at officers, resulting in an injury to an officer, police said.
DUI. William R. Jones, 32, of 118 Jones Lane, Russell, was charged with DUI: general impairment, DUI: highest rate of alcohol, and careless driving at 1:26 a.m. Aug. 26 after Warren City police stopped his truck in the 900 block of Pennsylvania Ave. W. because it had an extreme amount of smoke around it.
Charged. The Warren County District Attorney's Office reported members of the Warren County Drug Task Force arrested Shannon Jones, 22, 610 East 10th St., Erie, after he sold drugs to an informant on the west side of Warren. Assisting in the arrest was the U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement Division. Jones was arraigned and then placed in the Warren County Jail in lieu of bail.
Columbus Twp.
Criminal mischief. According to Warren-based state police, Richard Wayne Akers, 18, of 10 E. Main St., Columbus, kicked the door of Melissa Lynn Akers, 40, 10 E. Main St., Columbus, causing damage to the wooden frame at 9:45 p.m. Sunday. Damage is estimated at $250, according to police.
Glade Twp.
Theft. Scott Wenzel, 49, Russell, reported to Warren-based state police that between Aug. 29 and 31 someone stole ten pieces of 1"x8" and 1"x6" lumber from a construction site at 522 Hatch Run Rd. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
