Travis Dean Barnett, 16, of 305 Jamestown St., Sugar Grove, died Saturday, August 22, 2009.
Travis was born in Breese, Illinois on April 14, 1993, a son of Tammi Johnson and Gregory Barnett.
Travis was entering the 11th grade next week at Eisenhower High School, where he was enrolled in the Warren County Career Center for Computer Technology. His high school activities included golf and trap shooting, and he was formerly involved in wrestling and football at Eisenhower High School. Travis loved to hunt and was an avid gamer. Travis especially enjoyed spending time with his family and was a loyal friend to many.

He is survived by his parents, Tammi and Justin Johnson, of Sugar Grove and Gregory and Michelle Barnett, of Corry; two sisters, Ashley Barnett and Taylor Barnett, of Sugar Grove; a brother, Timothy Johnson, of Sugar Grove; two stepsisters, Joycelyn Suydan and Emma Suydan, of Corry; two stepbrothers, Timothy Suydan and Alex Suydan, of Corry; maternal grandparents, Douglas and Pamela Kingsbury, of Sugar Grove; paternal grandparents, Dean and Karen Barnett, of Bear Lake; stepgrandparents, Tim and Dawn Johnson, of Lottsville; stepgrandparents, Kenneth and Joyce Nichols, of Corry; maternal greatgrandmother, Carolyn Kingsberry, of Randolph, N.Y.; paternal greatgrandfather, Veigh Barnett, of Pittsfield. Also surviving are a paternal aunt, Tracey Shaffer, Chesapeake, Va.; several uncles, and several cousins.
A funeral service will be held at Eisenhower High School Auditorium at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, with Pastor Todd Onink, Warren Free Methodist Church, officiating.
Friends are invited to call Wednesday 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Sugar Grove branch of McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 117 Main St. in Sugar Grove, PA, 16350. Graveside Services will follow at the Wesleyan Cemetery in Sugar Grove.
