Seniors plan last picnic of summer
Prime Time
Prime Time Health will discuss hospice care at the following locations: Monday, Aug. 24, 10 a.m. at Tidioute Senior Center, 11 a.m. at Endeavor Senior Center; Thursday, Aug. 27, at 11 a.m., Marienville; Monday, Aug. 31, at 11 a.m., Sheffield; Thursday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m., Youngsville; Thursday, Sept. 10, at 11 a.m. Warren Community Center, 905 Fourth Ave; Monday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m., Conewango Towers; and Thursday, Sept. 17, 11 a.m. at Warren Senior Center, 800 Pennsylvania Ave. W. The public is welcome to learn more about the wonderful service our local Hospice provides to terminally ill and their families. Glaucoma screenings will be held at Warren Community Center, 905 Fourth Ave., from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Sept. 9, and Monday, Oct. 12.
Lunches
Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Conewango Towers, Warren Senior Center and Warren Senior Community Center from Aug. 24-28: Monday, hamburger hash; Tuesday, scalloped chicken; Wednesday, hamburgers; Thursday, pizza sub; and Friday, macaroni and tuna salad. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Sugar Grove, Tidioute, Youngsville and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sights. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations.

Aug. 27 will be the last picnic of the year, at the Rod & Gun Club for a great lunch and afternoon of fun. Don't forget your wrapped gift for a wild game of Rip Off starting at 1 p.m.
New professional looking signs have been purchased to advertise dinners and events. The grand unveiling will be at the community luncheon this fall.
Corky Slack and family donated a lovely bench in memory of Valjean Slack. The bench is located outside the center for all to enjoy.
Emergicare will be at the center from 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 21 so members can sign up with a $5 discount.
The bus will start picking up at 3 p.m. Wednesday for the Warren County Fair so participants will have plenty of time to see the sights, enjoy the food and see the Senior Ms. crowned.

Overnighters:
Gettysburg: Sept. 28-30. Help celebrate Abe Lincoln's 200th Birthday with Gettysburg's new museum including state-of-the-art visitor center. Trip includes two nights lodging, two breakfasts, two dinners, new museum and visitor center, Cydorama painting, historic battlefield tour, New Birth of Freedom film, Eisenhower Farm, Americans Civil War Museum and Boyd's Bear Country.
