Warren
Assault. According to Warren City police, Michael R. Miller, 31, 204 Central Ave., was taken into custody and charged with simple assault and harassment at 1 a.m. Monday after officers were dispatched to his residence for a domestic dispute.
Retail theft. Warren City police cited a 12-year-old female with retail theft at 12:21 p.m. Monday after an officer was dispatched to Dollar General on a report that she had placed $15 worth of candy into her black bag.
Criminal mischief. A non-traffic citation was filed by Warren City police charging Jeremy M. Anderson, 21, 15 1//2 Plum St., after he punched the windshield of a known male's 1999 Honda Civic at 34 Hemlock Rd. at 5:27 p.m. Sunday, causing it to crack and spider.
Impairment. George E. Bross, 66, 23 Church St., was taken into custody and charged with DUI general impairment, DUI highest rate of alcohol and public drunkenness at 6:15 p.m. Saturday after officers were dispatched to the Wine and Spirits Shop, 4 Market St. Police said Bross drove into the plaza and did appear in the Wine and Spirits Shop under the influence of alcohol to the point that he collapsed on the floor inside the store.
Cherry Grove Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a crash at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 9 on Tidioute Rd. at its intersection with Fire Rd. According to police, Daniel P. Davidson, 29, of Ludlow was traveling east when he traveled off the south berm striking three mailboxes. Police said Davidson then traveled across Railway Lane and struck an embankment and utility pole. According to police, Davidson fled the scene but was identified through investigation. Police said charges of driving under the influence will be filed at District Judge Arthur Zerbe's office.
Farmington Twp.
DUI. At 1:24 a.m. Tuesday on Old State Rd., Warren-based state police stopped the vehicle operated by Travis C. Hitchcock, of Russell, for an equipment violation. Police said Hitchcock was determined to be driving under the influence and was arrested for DUI.
Mead Twp.
Sexual assault. Warren-based state police reported that between Jan. 1 and July 1, 2008, Allen Richard Thomas, 44, of SCI Houtzdale, Pa., sexually assaulted a known nine-year-old male, of Erie, at two known Clarendon residences. According to police, Thomas was a neighbor and a babysitter to the boy at the time of the assaults. Police said Thomas is alleged to have also provided controlled substances to the juvenile. According to police, Thomas was charged with rape, aggravated sexual assault, statutory sexual assault and numerous other related charges.
Found property. According to Warren-based state police, a 20-inch boy's BMX bicycle was found Monday at 222 S. Main St. Police said the owner can claim the bicycle by contacting them.
Pleasant Twp.
Theft. Warren-based state police reported that between Saturday and Monday, someone entered the unlocked Ford Ranger pickup truck of Richard Wright, of 20 Creekwood Dr., which was left unlocked in his driveway. Police said $10 in quarters and Wright's company employment identification badge were removed from the truck.
Forest County
Alert. Tionesta-based state police reported two white males in their 30s, believed to be from Indiana, are in the area attempting to do work on people's roofs for large sums of money. Police said they are targeting the elderly. One of the suspects is described as having light brown hair, a medium build with no glasses or facial hair. The other has brown hair, a medium build, glasses and a goatee.
