Warren

Retail theft. Warren City police cited Patrick Shaffer Jr., 19, of 503 Beech St. on Thursday after he left Thorne's BiLo at 6:48 a.m. Wednesday without paying for $8.76 worth of merchandise.

Fugitive from justice. Michael Skipworth, 35, of 838 Eagan Place was taken into custody by Warren City police at 6:11 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant out of the Butte County, Calif., for failure to provide and disobey a court order with failure to appear on July 20.

Crash. Warren city police responded to a two vehicle accident that occurred at 5:15 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Carver St. and Madison Ave. According to police, Cami R. Huff, 41, of 122 Cypress St., Marienville, was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection, when she continued south down Carver St., which was the wrong way down a one way street, and failed to see Cody A. Boutelle, 19, of 5810 Austin Hill Rd., Clarendon, who was westbound on Madison Ave. Police said Boutelle's vehicle struck Huff's driver's side door and in the confusion, Huff accelerated through the intersection and hit a parked vehicle belonging to Earl H. Campbell, of 21 N. Carver St., on Carver St. According to police, Campbell's vehicle moved backwards up the curb after impact. Police said Huff had a minor injury and was transported to Warren General Hospital. Boutelle received treatment for lacerations at the scene. Police reported that Huff was cited for a stop sign violation.

Accident. According to Warren city police, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Anthony Zdarko, of 112 N. South St. observed Andrea Constable, of 114 Buchanan St., coast through the stop sign at the intersection of N. South St. and Madison Ave. According to police, instead of calling authorities, Zdarko pulled his vehicle behind Constable's and then passed here before braking quickly in front of her, causing her to hit his vehicle. Police said Zdarko then jumped out of his vehicle and screamed at Constable. Police reported that Zdarko asked for Constable's information and left the scene. Police said both Zdarko and Constable called the police about the accident. According to police, Zdarko was cited for careless driving for causing the accident.

Columbus Twp.

Traffic violation. Corry-based state police reported a traffic violation that occurred at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday on Rt. 6, just east of N. Shady Ave. According to police, an unknown pickup truck was traveling west on Rt. 6, when a hay bale fell out of its trailer and hit the vehicle operated by Veronica L. Roehrig, 60, of Warren.

Elk Twp.

Criminal mischief. According to Warren-based state police, between noon Aug. 7 and 8 a.m. Wednesday, someone shot at two signs at the intersection of King Rd. and Fox Hill Rd. Police said two different caliber guns were used on the signs. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Freehold Twp.

Harassment. Corry-based state police reported that at 11:05 p.m. Thursday at a residence on Rt. 6, Robert Young, 54, hit a known female on the lip with a broom handle before hitting her in the face with his fist during an argument. According to police, Young will be charged with harassment through District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth's office.
